Jill is a career and life coach and transition specialist. She primarily coaches entrepreneurs, professionals, executives, business owners, and other highly motivated people in career or life transition. Her clients are inherently successful, although many times they are in the process of getting "unstuck," re-defining success on their own terms, fully leveraging their strengths or seeking a higher level of fulfillment and balance.
A corporate Human Resources professional for over fourteen years, Jill Berquist has the majority of her tenure with the global management and technology consulting firm, Andersen Consulting, now Accenture. For most of her ten years with the firm, Jill held a Director of Recruiting position. Aside from her responsibility for hiring hundreds of professionals at all levels, Jill developed successful mentoring, retention and diversity programs. While there, Jill also had the opportunity to informally coach consultants of all levels, from analyst through partner.
Discovering that her excitement for coaching was matched by her talents in this area, Jill founded her own national coaching firm in 1997. Through coaching, consulting, facilitating, writing and the media, Jill conveys skills and messages to directly impact and inspire others to do work aligned with who they are, and live to their highest potential.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of Connecticut, and the Professional Coaching Certification from the International Coach Federation (an accreditation only 8% of the coach population earns). She is a graduate of the globally recognized CoachU coach training program, and an eleven-year member of the International Coach Federation. Jill's community and professional affiliations include serving on the Coach Federation’s Global Communities Committee, as Past Vice-President of Membership for the board of the eastern division of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and as Past President of the Glastonbury Business and Professional Women's Club, a chapter of the National organization. Jill is also a founding and core member of the Connecticut Collaborative of Professional Coaches, and a long-time member of the Glastonbury and Hartford, Connecticut Chambers of Commerce.
Jill has been one of five coaches in Connecticut selected by Forbes, Newsweek and Fast Company online directories for executives. She is a recognized Life Blueprint™ Coach, a facilitator of the Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction coaching program™ and an Oasis in the Overwhelm stress management facilitator. In 2007, Jill co-authored Oasis in the Overwhelm 28 Day Guide –Rewire Your Brain From Chaos to Calm, and enjoys sharing Oasis strategies with others as her way of injecting a dose of sanity into the world, one person at a time.
Mission is to help organizations and individuals achieve "soul-centered" success. I define this as a sustainable success that springs from a foundation of values, integrity and unique purpose. I help my clients define these components and use them to fuel their work and lives.
My Style is an effective blend of intuition and logic. My goal is to quickly and insightfully get to the heart of an issue, and assist others in moving from ideas to actions that yield their desired results.
Vision is to see as many individuals as possible, unearth, design and fulfill their unique potential, living lives that are as fulfilling as they are impactful.
